The Information Technology department for the University of Kentucky College of Law stands out in the law school community in that we are a resource not only for faculty and staff, but also our students!
Listed here are just some of the services we offer:
- We operate and maintain the "smart classroom" equipment, and assist with its usage.
- By faculty request we can record class sessions and make the recordings available via streaming video.
- If you have forgotten your Link Blue password or it has expired, we can help you reset it.
- Perhaps most importantly, we offer hardware and software troubleshooting, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Dell authorized warranty service.
- Virus and spyware removal.
- Software installation and configuration.
- Operating system rebuilds.
- Laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting, replacement, assembly.*
- Data backup and recovery.
- We can help you configure your mobile device for UK email access.
- We also have one of the coolest offices on campus - literally and figuratively!
- We have recently added the capability of support via a Web-based User Support Center, in addition to a live chat interface. Where you see a button that looks like this:
you can click on it and, if one of us is available, chat with us about any support questions or concerns you have. If we're not on-line, you can still click on the button to leave us a message.
*We can do warranty work only on Dell computers, but we can perform out-of-warranty repairs on just about anything -- you provide the parts, we provide the labor and expertise! |
