Susan Bybee Steele, Associate Dean for Career Services
Associate Dean Susan Steele was graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1985 and a Juris Doctor in 1988. She practiced law for seven years with the law firm of Ogden, Newell & Welch PLLC, which is currently the Louisville office of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC after a merger. Associate Dean Steele began with the law school in January of 1996 and has been working in Career Services since her return to the College of Law.
Dean Steele counsels students and prepares written resources on everything from interview skills to salary negotiations to legal career choices, by appointment and on a walk-in basis. She also provides regular programming and materials on topics including résumé and cover letter preparation, research skills, and job search strategies. Dean Steele manages the operations of the office, advises the student public interest group, and enjoys working with students, alumni, and employers. Joan Yocum, Student Affairs Officer
Joan Yocum joined the College of Law in 1969 and has assisted in the Career Services Office since 1976. She possesses a wealth of knowledge of career services and fondly remembers our alumni when they contact the office or visit campus to interview students.
