Ryan Valentin joined the law library faculty in January 2008 as a reference librarian. He earned a JD from the University of Oregon in 2004 and an MLIS from Florida State University in 2007. Before coming to the University of Kentucky, he clerked for Judge Douglas S. Mitchell of the Lane County Circuit Court in Eugene, Oregon and practiced law in Florida.
In addition to his duties in the library, Professor Valentin teaches the legal research component of the first-year legal research and writing course. Outside the library, his interests include tennis, jazz, and travel.
